Realizing the sound quality offered by “scenery” in the minimal possible form

The cuboctahedron is made of fourteen faces, combining six regular squares and eight equilateral triangles. The beautiful universal object discovered by pure mathematics appears as different shapes when seen from different angles.

One of three diagonal pairs is equipped with a tweeter (a high-tone speaker) and bass reflex port to extend bass performance. A φ2.5-inch full-range unit is put on four sides around the axis connecting the tweeter and the bass reflex port to maximize clear sound quality with high resolution and natural sound. This is the key to one of the most distinctive characteristics of an omnidirectional speaker—rich and broad extension of sound. It can be put on a shelf or a rack just like an ordinary speaker or even hung from the ceiling. Having impedance of 6Ω, this speaker is compatible with any amplifier, so it is easy to use, while having a cool design.
